Her background in creative writing and darkroom photography led her to film where she found her footing in camera department. Since then her portfolio as a cinematographer has grown to comprise a range of narrative, documentary, commercial, and music video projects.
Over the course of her career, she has collaborated with studios and clients like Netflix, Disney, Amazon Prime, Adidas, Converse, and Nike. Her music video work has been featured in Rolling Stone, Pitchfork, Fader, TeenVogue, and Essence. Additionally, Amanda's narrative repertoire includes: Stan Behavior (Mammoth Film Festival, Frameline, NewFest), COPPER & WOOL (Panavision Best Cinematography Nomination), and COMMUTERS (Camerimage Etudes Official Selection, UFVF/Kodak Vision Award, ASC Student Heritage Nomination).
Amanda holds an MFA from the American Film Institute Conservatory (Cinematography ‘20) and a B.A. in Electronic Media & Film from Towson University. In 2018 and 2021 she was selected as an American Society of Cinematographers (ASC) Student Heritage nominee by both institutions, respectively.
Outside of filmmaking, Amanda also works as a freelance writer and essayist. She authors a newsletter called, “Yours Truly” on Substack.
